“What You Need Is In The Limo”, 2007

Titled after David Bowie’s song, FAME, I donned “really bad drag” and walked down New York’s 5th Avenue with two 6″6, 400lb bodyguards. Referencing Pippoliti Rist’s “Ever After”, I walk down 5th, stopping into stores to disrupt my path as she did by breaking out car windows. Her chaos was created by her action, my chaos was created by the circus of
“fame”. This piece is originally intended to be a three channel piece, but shown here as a single channel edit.
